ATLANTA, GA (May 8, 2012) --- Kellen Company, a leading global professional services firm, announced today that Debra A. Berliner has joined the company’s Kellen Communications division as Director. Berliner will be based in the firm’s Atlanta headquarters.
A proven communications strategist, Berliner has more than two decades of success in agency and corporate settings. She is a skilled leader and manager who builds collaborative, high energy teams and forges strong client relationships. Berliner has developed and executed world-class corporate communications, marketing communications, investor relations and media relations strategies and programs across diverse industry sectors.
In her new role, Berliner will work with Kellen Communications staff to advance skills, foster collaboration, nurture leadership and develop business.

Previously, Berliner served as Managing Director at New York City public relations agency G.S. Schwartz & Co., Inc., where she led the business and financial practice for both client management and new business functions for more than a decade. Prior to that, she served as Vice President of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations for Hanover Direct, Inc., a publicly-held direct marketer of household products and apparel.
Berliner has served as an officer on the board of directors for the New York Chapter of the American Marketing Association, where she was responsible for all online and offline marketing communications activities for the chapter. She also served for three years on the board of directors of the New York Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute. Additionally, Berliner is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the eMarketing Association.
Berliner holds an M.B.A. in marketing from Baruch College, City College of New York, and a B.S. in public communications, cum laude, from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
