WEBINAR GIVES ORGANIZATIONS STRATEGIES FOR
HARNESSING THE OPPORTUNITIES OF GLOBALIZATION
Kellen Company VP examines impact of a global economy on associations
New York, NY (July 10, 2007) — Recent social, economic and technological developments have led to increasing global connectivity. This impacts associations on many levels—although not all are affected in the same way. A live Webinar from global professional services firm Kellen Company will examine the "shrinking world" phenomenon and help organizations recognize opportunities, determine strategies and measure the impact of their global initiatives.
Participants will learn the various ways that associations can benefit from globalization; the importance of adequate information via market research, surveys, management firms and peer groups; the necessary tools for developing a global strategy; and the possible risks and rewards.
The Webinar will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2007, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon EST. Featured speaker Alfons Westgeest, group vice president of Kellen Company and managing partner of Kellen Europe will review the essentials above, citing case studies of associations that have achieved their international goals.
"Association and not-for-profit leaders must recognize the widespread effects of globalization, and the issues and prospects that the current environment presents," says Westgeest. "There is great potential for those organizations to extend the reach of their mission, expand their membership base, and enrich the value proposition to current members once they understand how to effectively operate on an international scale."
Westgeest was previously a partner of Ernst & Young. He has served associations in the electronics, energy, automotive, construction, professional services and food & drinks sectors. At Kellen, he leads a team of 25 European professionals from 12 nationalities with diverse educational backgrounds. They advise and manage European and global associations or the representation of US-based associations in various industries. The team also provides added-value services, including European affairs and economic analysis & benchmarking, for several associations.
Interested parties may register for the Webinar at
