ART SACKLER JOINS KELLEN COMPANY’S
GOVERNMENT RELATIONS TEAM
WASHINGTON, DC (October 31, 2006) – Kellen Company, a global professional services firm, and the premier international association management company (AMC), is pleased to announce it has established a strategic alliance with Sackler Policy Services, LLC, a full service public policy firm. In accordance with the alliance, Arthur B. Sackler will serve as Kellen’s Senior Counsel for Government Affairs.
"Kellen has been providing effective government services for many years and our strategic alliance with Art will enhance this capability for our association and corporate clients," said Peter Rush, president and chief executive officer of Kellen. With full access to Kellen’s professional services expertise and departments, including Kellen Communications, Mr. Sackler will have every resource at his disposal to effectively serve the government relations needs of current and future Kellen Company clients.
Mr. Sackler is the former Vice President of Law and Public Policy at Time Warner, where he successfully engaged Capitol Hill and many federal agencies in a wide variety of legislative and regulatory matters. While at Time Warner he served on the federal government’s Industry Sector Advisory Committee on Services, was a manager of Intellectual Property (IP) issues in the Transatlantic Business Dialogue and was a member of the Federal Trade Commission’s Advisory Committee on Online Access and Security. Mr. Sackler has extensive government contacts and experience in formulating effective strategies at the federal and state levels, as well as a strong knowledge of government operations and procedures at the international level. Mr. Sackler was a private sector member of the U.S. delegation to the World Intellectual Property Organization Diplomatic Conference, which negotiated digital copyright treaties.
Mr. Sackler has a bachelor of arts and a law degree from Syracuse University; he earned a master of laws from Georgetown University.
