Kellen Company Promotes Valerie Cooper to Vice President
ATLANTA, GA (January 26, 2004) – The Kellen Company, the second largest professional association management firm in the country, has promoted Valerie Cooper from Senior Account Executive to Vice President. Cooper has been a Kellen Company employee for more than three years, applying her expertise in the areas of leadership development, financial management and association membership services.
"Valerie has consistently demonstrated her skills and value to The Kellen Company as a significant member of our management team," said Bob Gelardi, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Kellen Co. "She has worked in all areas of association management, travels domestically and internationally on behalf of her client associations and participates in several outside trade organizations."
Cooper was previously with Resources for Group Management, an association management company that was acquired by The Kellen Company in January 2001. She was recently named Executive Vice President of the Greeting Card Association and the National Candle Association.
Among her other responsibilities at Kellen, Cooper is Executive Director of the Weather Risk Management Association and provides management oversight for the American College of Tax Counsel, American Tax Policy Institute, Worldwide Printing Thermographers and Home Infusion Therapy Franchise Owners Association.
Cooper holds the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from the American Society of Association Executives. She is also a member of the Council of Manufacturing Associations and the Greater Washington Society of Association Executives.
