Kellen Company Gathers Everyone for Comprehensive Leadership Conference

KCO Conference 2003 ATLANTA, GA (August 4, 2003) – The Kellen Company, one of the world's largest association management firms, held its first company-wide Leadership Conference on August 1-3. A practice not usually done in the association management world, the company's 115 employee-owners convened in Atlanta, GA for three days of extensive training in the company's newly updated Best Practices Manual (BPM) as well as other business and communications skills.

This past May, The Kellen Company achieved charter accreditation by the International Association of Association Management Companies (IAAMC) joining the ranks of 18 other AMCs that have successfully met the American National Standards Institute/IAAMC Standard of Good Practices for the Association Management Industry. In addition, the company's new BPM exceed the requirements mandated by the IAAMC and further enhance The Kellen Company's goal to be justifiably recognized as the best, most quality-, client-oriented association management company.

"The Leadership Conference is a venue that allows us not only to bring all three of our offices together, but provides a forum to communicate and discuss the company's mission and values as well as the steps needed to achieve them," says Peter Rush, President, The Kellen Company.

"Our company mission is to exceed client expectations through commitment to excellence and employee-owner values. Our Leadership Conference is just one of the tools The Kellen Company uses to meet the standard we've set for ourselves," adds Robert C. Gelardi, The Kellen Company Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

This year's conference was the first to unite all employees of The Kellen Company, including its public relations division, Sumner Rider & Associate (SR&A), its web marketing and development division, HQ CyberServices and its graphic design and creative services department, SR&A Creative Communications.
