IAAMC Recognizes Robert C. Gelardi for Industry Leadership

Chairman and CEO of The Kellen Company Receives The Glenn W. Bostrom Award

ATLANTA, GA (June 5, 2003) – The International Association of Association Management Companies (IAAMC) will present Kellen Company Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Robert C. Gelardi, with The Glenn W. Bostrom Award for Service, Quality and Excellence at the IAAMC summer meeting this August. The award is being given to Mr. Gelardi in recognition of his professional efforts and personal achievements on behalf of the association management industry and IAAMC.

During his term as president of IAAMC, Mr. Gelardi emphasized the need for quality in association management and the important role Association Management Companies (AMCs) can play in improving quality. He was instrumental in focusing IAAMC on the increased need for recognized benchmarks for the industry. He provided leadership to IAAMC at a critical time, setting it on a path of continued growth. He is a veteran of over 25 years in association management. As Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Kellen Company, he has significantly expanded the company, including its meetings management, public relations and related creative and cyber services activities. Frequently serving as an industry spokesman, Mr. Gelardi has appeared on major television and radio networks and in print media. He has testified before regulatory agencies, the U.S. Congress and state authorities and has authored numerous journal articles. In addition, Mr. Gelardi also directs the activities of several client associations, developing and implementing strategic plans on behalf of these clients.
