The Kellen Company Manages Star-Studded Matrix Awards

Former President Clinton A Surprise Guest

NEW YORK (April 15, 2002) - Walter Cronkite, Marlo Thomas, Barbara Walters and Rosie Perez were just a few of the celebrity presenters that came out for the annual Matrix Awards at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, presented by New York Women in Communications, Inc. (NYWICI) and managed by The Kellen Company, a professional association management company.

Former President Clinton made a cameo appearance to honor 2002 Matrix winner, and Hearst newspaper columnist, Helen Thomas. Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, eBay Inc. CEO Meg Whitman, and Advertising Council President and CEO Peggy Conlon were also among the winners.

Serving as Executive Director for New York Women in Communications, Kellen Company Vice President Holly Koenig and her New York City staff oversaw all logistics of the event, from financial administration and registration to development and on-site management.

"It is quite rewarding to work so closely with the talented team of NYWICI volunteers for so many months and then to be on-site to finally witness the success of the day," said Holly Koenig. "But you cannot rely only on volunteers to manage the details of an event of this size and importance - they have their own jobs to worry about. From database management and direct mailings to journal production and VIP handling - I'm glad that NYWICI has chosen to partner with us all of these years to ensure the success of the luncheon."

In addition to event management, The Kellen Company provides full-service association management, government affairs, marketing, public relations, creative communications, Web site development and other professional services to associations as well as individual companies.
