Kellen Company and Ernst & Young Form Association Management Alliance

ATLANTA (February 28, 2002) - The Kellen Company and Ernst & Young Association Management, two leading association management firms, have announced a strategic alliance for the purpose of increasing their global reach and expanding client services. The Kellen Company is the second largest trade association management company in the United States. Ernst & Young (E&Y) Association Management is the premier association management company in Brussels.

"We are very excited by our expansion of services into the European community," said Peter Rush, president of the Kellen Company. "Many of our associations are truly global businesses -- and the EU is increasingly important to a successful association. E&Y and Kellen have similar business philosophies regarding the professional services we provide to our clients."

"We feel this strategic alliance with the Kellen Company expands our capabilities for the benefit of our clients. With their understanding of the strategic communications and government affairs sectors across the Atlantic, the Kellen Company is the ideal partner for E&Y," said Alfons Westgeest, Partner of Ernst & Young Association Management.

The two companies will work together on a wide range of issues for clients facing the increasing challenges of the global marketplace. The experienced staffs of the two companies provide truly international solutions for industries and organizations. In particular, the government affairs and communications capabilities of E&Y and KCO provide their clients with the ability to address global issues more effectively.

The Kellen Company, founded in 1964, has offices in Atlanta, New York City and Washington, D.C. It provides association management, communications, public relations, government affairs, meetings management, Web site development and marketing, and other professional services to associations as well as individual companies.

Ernst & Young Association Management offers management, administration, strategic advice, government affairs, market research, and marketing and communications services. It is part of the global network of Ernst & Young, one of the world's leading professional service firms (http://www.ey.be/index.html).
