Mardi Mountford is a Vice President of Kellen Company. She is also Executive Vice President of the International Formula Council (IFC), a trade association representing infant formula manufacturers. In her role at the IFC, Mountford oversees state, federal and international legislative and regulatory issues as well as technical and scientific industry issues. She serves as an industry media spokesperson, and has testified before congressional and legislative committees.
Mountford also serves as Vice President on the Governing Board of the International Special Dietary Foods Industries (ISDI), of which IFC is a member, and has been closely involved in the transition of the organization from its former Paris location to a new management firm in Brussels. Key activities have included development of new by-laws, budget, and coordination of communication efforts with other key global and regional organizations in the industry as well as involvement in the development of industry positions for the World Health Organization.
She has more than 30 years of experience in association management. Prior to joining Kellen Company in 1981, Mountford was a nutrition consultant for management firms in Atlanta and Boston. She received a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry and biology from St. Andrews Presbyterian College in North Carolina, and a master’s degree in public health, with an emphasis in nutrition, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
