Kellen Company Announced As Full-Service Management For
Extruded Polystyrene Foam Association
NEW YORK, NY (April 6, 2010) — The Extruded Polystyrene Foam Association (XPSA), representing the nation’s principal makers of polystyrene foam insulation products and their raw material suppliers, announced that it has selected Kellen Company to provide full-service association management. Kellen Company is a global professional services firm with operations in New York City, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Tucson, Brussels and Beijing.
Association president Scott Young of Dow Building Solutions said the relationship with Kellen will provide significant new administrative, technical and educational resources as the association implements its plans for growth and product promotion. It also will increase the association’s ability to respond to technical and regulatory challenges.
XPSA’s member companies manufacture more than 95 percent of all XPS for use in the North American market. Members include Dow Building Solutions, Owens-Corning Foam Insulation and Pactiv Building Products.
“We see this partnership as an essential step in our further development as the premier trade association for the extruded polystyrene foam insulation industry,” said Young. “We have been especially impressed by Kellen’s technical and regulatory expertise and its extensive knowledge of the industry.”
The association’s goals include promoting the use and performance benefits of XPS insulation, educating users on the proper application of XPS products, identifying new applications and serving as the industry’s clearinghouse for accurate and timely information.
Allen Weidman, a seasoned executive in Kellen’s Washington, D.C. office, will serve as XPSA’s executive director.
