Kellen Company's Holly Koenig and Michael Cummings Honored By
New York Society of Association Executives
New York, NY (March 17, 2010) — Holly Koenig, vice president and Michael Cummings, business development manager at Kellen Company, will receive prestigious honors at the 2010 New York Society of Association Executives (NYSAE) Synergy Awards Luncheon on April 21, 2010.
“We are extremely proud of the contributions Michael and Holly have made to NYSAE," said Peter Rush, chairman and CEO of Kellen Company. “We actively encourage our employee-owners to help make a positive contribution to any organization they join, demonstrating the commitment and leadership our clients know us for.”
Koenig will accept the “Outstanding Association Executive” award for her key involvement within NYSAE and the association industry. She was nominated for this honor for demonstrating contributions to the management function of Kellen Company, to the association management profession and the support of NYSAE in achieving its mission of leading and advancing the profession.
At Kellen since 1987, Koenig has served as chief executive of numerous national, regional and local trade associations and professional societies. She is currently the executive director of the World Airline Entertainment Association.
“I am extremely honored to receive this esteemed award,” said Koenig. “It validates what Kellen has always taught me, as well as all of our executive directors – how important it is to exceed client expectations each and every day.”
NYSAE will honor Cummings with the “Outstanding Committee Chair” award for his achievements and work with the NYSAE education committee in developing and executing programs and projects that promote the organization and benefit members and the industry as a whole. Last year, he received the prestigious “New Star” award after demonstrating leadership, service and special achievements as a member of the education committee, which he went on to lead this year.
“It is highly rewarding to be recognized by my peers and such an important and influential association such as NYSAE,” said Cummings. “As well, it’s quite the honor to receive an award two years in a row. I am proud of the work I have done with NYSAE and hope to do more in the coming years.”
