Stephen A. Townsend has worked in association management for more than 20 years, including 15 years of experience inside associations with business activities outside of the United States. He has led teams to develop market expansion plans focusing on Europe, Middle East and Africa; Asia/Pacific Rim; and China. His achievements include the establishment of customer service centers in Brussels, Belgium, and Singapore, as well as a representative office in China.
He is currently working with an association client to establish an organizational presence in India. He has also led association chapters in more than 80 countries worldwide through legal registration with their governments. He is currently consulting with associations in the areas of international development and community revitalization.
