We are expanding our Kellen Interactive team, seeking an experienced Web Developer (5+ years) to create and maintain multiple web sites for clients and whom has been developing sites with Drupal (3+ years). The Web Developer should be well versed in Internet technologies and applications. Primarily responsible for creating, building, testing, maintaining and troubleshooting web sites, web applications and scripts in a very fast-paced environment. This position will provide the opportunity to work closely with our account teams, graphic designers and programmers, to create innovative online solutions.
Duties:
- Develop, deploy and maintain web content management system using Drupal framework
- Work in a collaborative environment in an enthusiastic manner with keen problem-solving and excellent written and oral communication skills
- Develop and maintain LAMP sites
- Create documentation and train users on the Drupal systems
Required Skills:
- 5+ years professional experience developing for the web
- PHP skills including designing object oriented solutions (5 years)
- Experience with customizing and building Drupal Sites (3 years)
- Expert hands-on knowledge of standards compliant HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Knowledge of mySQL scripting
- Theming and customizing open source applications (e.g., Drupal, WordPress)
- Experience with other web development technologies/production tools such as AJAX and JavaScript Libraries
- Ability to translate Photoshop design comps and wireframes into working HTML templates
- Thorough understanding of cross platform/browser compatibility issues
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal & presentation) and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of people
- Excellent organizational skills, and ability to track production time against budgeted hours effectively
- Must be able to manage multiple clients, projects and deliverables simultaneously
- Must be highly productive when working independently and work well in a team environment
Additional experience with any of the following would also be considered desirable:
- Web design experience
- Website and user interface design
- Social Media campaigns
- Experience with Flash/Actionscript
- Experience with converting and posting online video
- Experience with other relational databases (i.e. SQL Server, Access)
- Knowledge of Wordpress
- Any experience with classic ASP or .NET
- Shell scripting
- New business development and the sales/marketing process
- Internet marketing and techniques

Administrative Project Support Overview
Administrative support for the Account Executives includes composing, processing and reconciling correspondence, letters, member services communications, recruitment marketing, process applications, manage dues invoicing and collection; memos/reports and coordinating special projects which includes correspondence, small meeting planning, and other special projects, as specifically defined. Applies computer skills, knowledge of administrative support systems and understanding of policies and procedures to complete tasks and improve processes.
Communications/Marketing Overview
Works with association team members to develop new marketing communications materials, improve existing forms of communication in print, digital and social, and maintain data systems that are the foundation for marketing efforts. Prepares project and program cost estimates, budgets, and manages projects through completion. Designs and manages all assigned projects with the goal of exceeding client expectations including both the internal team and external association members.
Responsibilities:
- Provide database management and related support for membership renewal, regional meeting, and annual conference registration processes
- Compile membership data for reports and prepare and update new member kits
- Assist in the coordination and preparation of electronic Board Books, Meeting Agendas and Action Lists.
- Serve as a resource and staff- liaison to assigned committees to ensure that policies and procedures are followed.
- Write minutes of meetings/conference calls and update staff project lists
- With guidance from supervisor(s), manage the financial aspects of all projects from budgeting and funding to overall outcome
- Prepare, track and meet project schedules, reporting to management and client teams and ensuring communication is frequent and bi-directional
- Provide administrative support to Account Executives, travel coordination, update calendars, hotel arrangements, prepare staff participation and materials for attending/exhibiting at trade shows.
- Annual Meeting - handle a variety of tasks including coordinating print program production, maintaining database, processing registrations and serving as on-site registration representative.
- Handle telephone inquiries and provide excellent customer service and verbal communication.
- Assist in developing and coordinating communications, including branding strategy implementation, website updates, press releases and writing articles.
- Collaborate with team for creative design, formatting and content of client Internet sites
- Write creative copy for membership marketing promotions
- Manage special projects as assigned by Account Executives.
Qualifications
BS/BA in a discipline related to Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field, with two years of applicable experience preferred including project management or marketing experience. Proven experience in internships a plus.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. MS Access experience a plus.
- Experience doing research on the web and familiarity with common web applications.
- Experience in using social media.
- Experience a plus for familiarity with email marketing and using online applications like Constant Contact, Survey Monkey, etc.
- Ability to work independently and in groups with solid organizational and time management skills
- Trade association or professional society experience a plus
- Excellent oral and written/proofing communication skills
- High energy, versatile and multi-task oriented, self-directed and good analytical skills with consistent attention to detail and deadlines.
- Must be a positive team player in a challenging and changing environment; includes working with a broad range and levels of personnel.
- Flexibility under competing time requirements and changing deadlines.
- Excellent focus and a good sense of priorities.
