American College of Tax Counsel
Similar to ACCL, ACTC became a managed association in 1994. ACTC is an exclusive society with strict nominating procedures and qualification requirements. Currently, there are approximately 670 members and a Board of 15 Regents. Their annual meeting occurs in January and is usually held at the same time and place as the ABA Tax Forum.
American Tax Policy Institute
This is a 501 c) 3) foundation established in 1994, with the inception of ACTC. The association consists of a law professor who serves as the Executive Director with the charge of locating authors for the tax policy papers ATPI publishes. Life Sponsors contribute $2,500 in 10-year pledges. There are no members per se. A 23-person Board of Trustees governs ATPI.
Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association
Established in 1915, this North American trade association represents the manufacturers and suppliers of bituminous-based residential and commercial roofing products. It currently services 23 manufacturing members and 17 associate members. Core services are regulatory advocacy, codes and standards development, public relations, and technical information. Association for Dressings and Sauces
The Association for Dressings and Sauces is an international trade association of manufacturers of retail and foodservice mayonnaise, salad dressing and other condiments and the companies that supply these manufacturers. It has 178 member companies and is focused on regulatory and legislative matters and promotion of the dressings and sauces category to the consumer. ADS has an extremely active technical program and a significant promotion public relations program. ADS holds two conventions each year - one marketing/general business meeting at a resort location and one technically focused meeting in a more central location. Association of Fund-Raising Distributors & Suppliers
The Association of Fund-Raising Distributors & Suppliers is a trade association of manufacturers, importers and distributors of products purchased by schools, civic groups and other non-profit organizations that resell the items to consumers for fundraising purposes. The association has approximately 650 member companies. The primary benefit of membership is an annual trade show and convention whose attendees represent more than 80% of the total sales in this $4 billion market. Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association
Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association is the trade association for North American manufacturers of commercial builders hardware. Since its founding some 75 years ago, BHMA has endeavored to promote the general development and welfare of the builders hardware industry and its member companies. BHMA currently authors 29 ANSI/BHMA standards in the builder's hardware category, covering everything from hinges to locks to power door. In addition, BHMA is involved in international standards, code and life safety regulations and other activities that specifically impact builders hardware. BHMA publishes the Certified Products Directory, a listing of member and non-member products that have been third party certified to meet current standards. BHMA is recognized as one of the leading organizations dealing with third party certification. Membership meetings are held twice a year along with numerous subcommittee meetings. Calorie Control Council
The Calorie Control Council is an international association of manufacturers of low-calorie and reduced-fat foods and beverages. It has approximately 60 members, including the manufacturers of alternative sweeteners, fat replacers and low-calorie bulking agents. The Council is very involved in regulatory issues (both U.S. and international) and public relations/ information for the industry as a whole as well as ingredient specific matters. The Council has three ongoing efforts that are separately funded, the Special Saccharin Program, the Cyclamate Task Force and the Polyol Working Group. Nationally projectable consumer research on light product use and dieting is conducted every other year. The Council holds an annual meeting at a resort location each year and a mid-year Board meeting, generally in Atlanta. Comics Magazine Association of America
Since 1954, the Comics Magazine Association of America (CMAA) is a national trade organization of comic book publishers, distributors and printers committed to the advancement of the comics industry. The association is divided into section, which reflect their channels of distribution -- direct sales, newsstand and general section. Their most significant program -- which keeps them together in this ever-changing industry -- is the Comics Code Authority. Administered by the executive director, comic publishers intending to distribute to the newsstand (Archie, DC, etc.) submit books content to the CMAA for review, ensuring that the book adheres to the Code.
The Distinguished Restaurants of North American (DiRoNA)
DiRoNA is a not-for-profit member association of comprised of fine-dining establishments in North America. Educational Leaders, Inc.
Educational Leaders, Inc. (ELI) is the professional association and collective bargaining unit for the principals and administrations of Tucson’s largest school district, Tucson Unified School District. ELI facilitates communication between the membership and the TUSD Board of Education; serves as a vehicle for promoting desirable educational policies; secures adequate guarantees of due process which covers all work conditions for members of the association; and assists administrators in upgrading their abilities and fostering conditions for the development of greater task efficiency. Members of ELI also participate in their political action committee (ELI-PAC) and are active on local, state and national legislative issued which impact education and especially those affecting administrators.
European Association of Storage Battery Manufacturers
European Association of Storage Battery Manufacturers acts as a unified voice and reference source promoting the interests of the European automotive and industrial battery industry to consumers, the EU institutions and national governments. The team currently has a focus on health and safety at the workplace as well as environmental issues, implying that studies and information exchange are important services. The Eurobat team also actively analyses and lobbies in the field of EU policies, for example the draft chemicals regulation, the new battery directive, as well as the Low Voltage Directive, which are in the various legislative stages at the European Commission, Parliament and Council of Ministers. European Coordination of Independent Producers
European Coordination of Independent Producers is the umbrella organisation representing 16 national associations of cinema and television production across Europe. Kellen Europe provides the management of the CEPI office in Brussels. The role of CEPI is to monitor and act upon EU regulations that have an impact in the media and audiovisual sector. This includes lobbying and communications campaigns as well as benchmarking and economic studies comprising the different national associations. In addition to the status of "expert organisation" with the EU institutions and the competent Member State authorities responsible for implementing European audiovisual policy, CEPI holds observer status in the World Intellectual Property Organisation, the Council of Europe and is a Member of the Advisory Committee of the European Audiovisual Observatory.
European Food & Drink Council
The association comprises six multinational branded manufacturers of food and drink located in the European Union. The aim of the Council is to represent the common interest of its members towards the European Institutions and other stakeholders, the defence and the promotion of the products of the food and drink industries, the analysis of problems of common concerns in scientific, technological, economic and lesglative areas in the food and drink sector and the cooperation with European and international organisation in the food and drink sector.
European Hydrogen & Fuel Cells Technology Platform
European Hydrogen & Fuel Cells Technology Platform has been initiated in early 2004 by the European Commission upon recommendation from the High Level Group on Hydrogen and Fuel cells with the aim to accelerate the development and deployment of these key technologies in Europe. The platform will assist in the efficient co-ordination of European research, development and deployment programmes and ensure a balanced and active participation of the major stakeholders (industry, scientific community, public authorities, civil society). The Platform brings together major energy companies (Shell Hydrogen, Norsk Hydro, Total, BP, EDF...), automakers (BMW, DaimlerChrysler, Renault, PSA...) and gas companies (Air Liquide, Linde, Air Products...). Our team has been appointed to lead the consortium that will manage the secretariat function of the EHP. Our responsibilities include: a) Strategic management advice and recommendations for the organisation and governance of the Platform; b) Coordination and support in secretariat administrative functions; c) Development and implementation of an external communication strategy; d) Development of the necessary tools and mechanisms for internal communication and knowledge sharing.
European Lift Components Association
European Lift Components Association is a European economic interest grouping of lift component manufacturers. Kellen Europe represents the CEOs of the European lifts components manufacturers (small and medium-sized enterprises) at meetings with European Commission officials, co-ordinates the activities of the various committees, participates in the trade-shows of the sector and enhances the image of the industry by establishing relationships with related associations (in particular with the US equivalent association), CEN, Notified Bodies and other Technical Committees. European Manufacturers of Expanded Polystyrene
European Manufacturers of Expanded Polystyrene represents the interest of Europe's leading expanded polystyrene manufacturers through national associations. Our team manages the Secretariat function of EUMEPS in Brussels since 1999. In 2003 our team supported the creation of an internal Issue Management Group (IMG) as a key element of the future EUMEPS strategy to demonstrate the commitment of companies to promote the safety of its products and its environmental strengths. Since then we have been awarded to undertake the European regulatory affairs director function of the IMG, to coordinate efforts and represent the interests of the EPS industry vis-à-vis competitors and European regulators. European Rental Association
The association representing the equipment rental sector in Europe. ERA's mission is to promote the rental equipment concept in order to facilitate a continued growth of the sector by creating an open European market and to achieve this goal, ERA complement the activities undertaken by the national associations locally. ERA has established 4 working Committee aiming at developping ERA’s positions on business and policy issues, which the association will then convey to the appropriate European decision-makers in order to ensure that the voice of the rental industry is heard and taken into account.

25 European Independent Software Vendor (ISV) companies created the European Software Association in October 2005.
ISV members of the association work with EU policy makers and other European stakeholders to foster innovation, growth and employment as well as competitiveness within the European software industry.

Food Update Foundation
Food Update Foundation is a 501(C)(3) organization of senior level individuals from the food processing and supplier industries, food science departments at major universities, Federal regulatory agencies, and food industry consultants and attorneys and PR professionals engaged in the food industry. Its sole purpose is to hold the annual Food Update meeting each Spring, a gathering of some 125 individuals who come together with speakers to address contemporary issues affecting the food industry. Its Board meets three times per year for the purpose of planning the annual meeting. It has no members per se, but does receive voluntary contributions annually from approximately 45 companies.

Greeting Card Association
Having been a managed association since 1987, the Greeting Card Association represents approximately 135 member companies involved in the greeting card publishing industry, as well as its suppliers. Major activities for the association consist of planning meetings held in January and May, participation in the National Stationary Show, LOUIE Awards dinner, and the annual convention held in the fall. Planning for the LOUIE competition and other events occur throughout the year. One of the main issues for the association involves postal rate setting, as well as maintaining a strong relationship with the U.S. Postal Service. Home Fashion Products Association
100 home fashion products companies make up the HFPA, which was created to foster and further the common interests of the industry. The HFPA establishes uniform market dates, directs, supervises and controls market week operations. They also participate in trade promotion activities, including advertising and publicity. The association's legal council distributes the latest information affecting suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors of the industry to its members. Currently they are working more to establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of government with regard to legislation and regulation affecting the industry. The Retailer of the Year and HomeTex Design Awards are two of the industry's most prestigious events run by the association. The HFPA does a couple educational programs throughout the year as well. The HFPA Foundation grants scholarships to students of surface and textile design.

The Home Fashion Products Association Foundation is a 501(c)(3) founded in 1999. The HFPAF awards scholarships to students throughout the United states majoring in surface or textile design.
Home Infusion Therapy Franchise Owners Association
Founded in 1990, HITFOA's main focus involves negotiations with the franchiser on elements of franchise document. The association represents the owners of franchises in home infusion therapy called OPTION CARE.
Horseradish Information Council
The Horseradish Information Council (HIC) has three member companies comprised of manufacturers of horseradish. The Council operates under the umbrella of ADS but is separately funded. International Flight Services Association Foundation
The International Flight Services Association Foundation (IFSA Foundation) is a charitable organization that focuses on identifying new talent within the industry by awarding scholarships to both professionals already in the industry and students wishing to pursue a career in the transportation services industry or a related position in the hospitality industry. The Foundation currently administers six scholarships.
International Food Additives Council
IFAC, the International Food Additives Council, is a trade association composed of producers of high purity substances sold as direct food additives. It is the sole trade association representing the interests of food additive producers. In addition to serving as the eyes and ears of the food additive producing industry, the Council is strongly regulatory oriented. Staff and members serve on the publications committee of the U. S. Food Chemicals Codex and IFAC is extremely active before the Codex Alimentarius Food Standards Programme, where it has NGO (Non Government Organization) status. IFAC completes much of its work through subcommittees as well as the group as a whole which meets for 2-3 days twice per year. Much committee work is centered in Washington due to the nature of the programs. Communication with members is also by quarterly newsletters and via e mail communications, used almost on a daily basis.
International Formula Council
The International Formula Council is an international association of manufacturers and marketers of formulated nutrition products (e.g., infant formulas and adult nutritionals). IFC's activities are primarily regulatory/legislative and/or technical/scientific issues of interest to the industry. IFC Council also serves as an information resource for infant formulas and adult nutritionals as well as related developments in health care. The Council operates through two sections (infant nutritionals and adult nutritionals) and five principal committees: the Technical/Quality Control Committee, the Technical/Sciences Committee, the Committee on Nutritional Sciences, the Legal/ Regulatory Committee, and the Professional and Public Affairs Committee. IFC holds one annual Board meeting in Washington, DC as well as committee meetings when needed.
International Glutamate Technical Committee
The International Glutamate Technical Committee (IGTC) is a worldwide research organization composed of physicians and scientists interested in research on the physiology, biochemistry and toxicology of Glutamic Acid and its salts especially as these products are used in food. It was founded and is Chaired by Dr. A.G. Ebert, a Senior Vice President at The Kellen Company. Members of IGTC come from 7 major geographic areas who meet annually. Daily activities are the responsibility of a 4 person executive committee composed of the officers. IGTC enjoys a favorable reputation before regulatory authorities around the world and has been favorably compared by FDA officials to FASEB in terms of knowledge and expertise. IGTC has helped organize over the years major conferences and symposia in which the growing area of glutamate science is summarized, the latest of which was published this year in the prestigious Journal of Nutrition.
International Interior Design Association - NY Chapter
The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) was founded in 1994 and is a professional networking and educational association of more than 10,000 members in 8 specialty Forums, 9 Regions, and more than 30 Chapters around the world. The IIDA is committed to enhancing the quality of life through excellence in interior design and advancing interior design through knowledge. The IIDA advocates for design excellence, nurtures a global interior design community, maintains educational standards, responds to trends in business and design, provides superior information about interior design and related issues using its own rapidly developing body of knowledge as a resource. All forums (Corporate, Education and Research, Facility Planning and Design, Government, Healthcare, Hospitality, Residential, and Retail) plan events throughout the year. IIDA/NY just began granting scholarships to students attending the local design schools.

IVAM - The European Microtechnology Network
IVAM is the European association of companies and research institutes in the field of microtechnology. It was set up in 1993 and nowadays represents 167 companies and institutes from Europe, but also from the US, Japan and Korea. It is focused on allowing start ups and small and medium sized enterprises to grow and develop new business relations by facilitating their participation to major trade fairs across the world, providing strategic advice, training and information on funding opportunities and tax incentives available in the European Union and its Members States. Juice Products Association
Established in 2003 through a merger of two long-standing associations -- the National Juice Products Association and the Processed Apples Institute. The new association is comprised of 130 member companies. JPA will serve its members and their consumers in the following areas: providing the most current information available with respect to business practices; technology, trade, legislative, and regulatory proposals and actions affecting the industry's products; sponsoring research; promoting high standards of product safety and quality, and good manufacturing and inspection practices in the production and distribution of juice products; encouraging uniformity in standards applicable to industry products; and providing an effective voice for its membership in dealing with its many publics, both within the United States and abroad. Lignin Institute
The Lignin Institute is a small international trade association composed of producers of lignin, lignosulfonates and their salts, all by-products of the paper and pulp industry. Long used for a series of industrial applications, member companies are discovering new value added products from lignins including applications in food and feed. The LI maintains an active research and environmental compliance program in behalf of its members and is supporting advanced research on the environmental fate of these substances. LI has established and maintains an active Web site which is used to provide information to interested consumers and also as a sales and marketing tool in facilitating members business. Messenger Courier Association of the Americas
The Messenger Courier Association of the Americas is a trade association of 270 mostly family-owned, local messenger courier companies. Their primary areas of activity include legislative and regulatory activities, educational programs, member benefit programs, a B2B web-based platform, and a magazine published 4 times a year. National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys
The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) is a specialty bar of attorneys who provide services to people with special needs and to people as they age. The members take a very holistic approach to their practices: dealing with the person and their circumstances, rather than just with a specified legal problem. The Academy began in 1988 with 35 members and has grown to over 4,600 members today. Members include attorneys in private practice, attorneys working in the non-profit sector, judges, professors, retired attorneys, and law students.
NAELA offers several annual educational programs for members including: an UnProgram held in January, an Advanced Practice Retreat held in March, a Symposia held in April or May, an Institute held in December. They produce a quarterly newsletter, The NAELA News, and a quarterly journal, The NAELA Quarterly. NAELA sponsors “Elder Law Month” annually during the month of May.
NAELA has six special interest groups, 21 active committees and 15 chapters nation-wide. The membership is also open to attorneys working in other countries. The members are active on a variety of list serves and use their web site extensively: www.naela.org.

National Association of Margarine Manufacturers
The National Association of Margarine Manufacturers is a trade association of manufacturers of retail and foodservice margarine and vegetable oil spreads and companies that supply these manufacturers. It has 17 member companies and is focused primarily on regulatory and legislative matters. NAMM also has an active technical program and a significant crisis management and promotion public relations program. National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers
The National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers (GCM) is a professional association dedicated to enhancing the skills and knowledge of care managers across the nation. GCM has an annual conference in September or October, produces a quarterly newsletter, Inside GCM, and a quarterly journal, “The Journal of Geriatric Care Management.”
GCM organized in 1986 and currently has over 1,700 members. There are three categories of membership: Fellows: Care Managers who are extensively involved in the leadership of GCM and/or other national associations; Care Managers: individuals with at least a Bachelor’s Degree in a human resources field, plus a minimum of two years of supervised experience; and Affiliates: those interested in care management, but who do not qualify to be a care manager. National Candle Association
The National Candle Association has shown tremendous growth since becoming a managed association in 1987, with 20 member companies. Today, there are around 155 member companies that include candle manufacturers and suppliers. The increase in membership is in direct relation to the establishment of a Technical Committee and the presentation of technical papers at both of the association's spring and fall meetings. Current issues for the association include the Prop 65 case in California and dealings with the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Having initiated a subcommittee under the American Society for Testing and Materials with six active task groups, NCA remains on the forefront of "hot" topics. Web site: www.candles.org.
National Guardianship Association
The National Guardianship Association (NGA) is a professional society committed to expanding the skills and knowledge of family, private and professional guardians. NGA organized in 1984 and currently has over 700 members. Guardians act “in place” of those who cannot make their own decisions due to incapacity or disability. They work in the public or private sectors or as family guardians and are appointed by the courts.
NGA has an annual conference in October or November and publishes “The National Guardian” on a quarterly basis. NGA sponsors and promotes National Guardianship Month annually during October. They have an active member list serve and web site: www.guardianship.org.
National Guardianship Foundation
The National Guardianship Foundation (NGF) is a not-for-profit foundation that provides certification for guardians. Founded in 1996, NGF has certified 650 Registered Guardians (RG) and 40 Master Guardians (MG) nation-wide. NGF is working to expand its national certification to include state components and offer dual state and national certifications.

National Institute of Oilseed Products
The National Institute of Oilseed Products is a vertically integrated trade association of 250 companies engaged in commerce involving vegetable oils. Company interests include: growers, commodity traders, brokers, crushers, refiners, chemists and samplers, transportation and storage facilities, and food processors. Major areas of focus include trading rules (guidelines for contracts), technical activities, and international and domestic regulatory affairs and international trade issues. National Pasta Association
National Pasta Association (NPA) is the trade association for the United States pasta industry. Founded in 1904, the NPA is comprised of manufacturing, industry supplier, and allied industry representatives. The first commercial pasta plant in the United States was founded in 1848 in Brooklyn, New York. By the turn of the century, the pasta industry had reached a growth point that triggered a large group of industry members to assemble for a discussion of manufacturing and marketing issues. The result of this meeting was the establishment of the National Macaroni Manufacturers Association. In 1981, the name was changed to the National Pasta Association. NPA provides leadership to the industry on public policy issues, serving as its voice in Washington, D.C. National Pecan Shellers Association
The National Pecan Shellers Association is an association of 25 pecan shellers (representing more than 80 of the shelling market) and more than 30 affiliate members (including, equipment manufacturers, food processors, pecan brokers and dealers, growers, and online commodity trading services). Major areas of focus include a research and promotion program and a statistical program for tracking crop purchases. Saguaro Business Club
Saguaro Business Club (SBC) is made up of a group of business owners, managers and sales people who meet weekly to iscuss their chief interest: business. The method is simple. By meeting, eating and talking together, they exchange information relating to the Tucson business scene. They have come to know and have confidence in one another. This leads to business transactions. They have no project to promote other than their mutual legitimate business interests. Membership around 40 – 50 members and is by invitation only.
Southern Arizona Veterinary Education and Service Foundation
The Southern Arizona Veterinary Education and Service Foundation (SAVES) was established as a charitable organization whose primary goal is the development and administration of pet health care services for low-income pet owners.
An outgrowth of the Southern Arizona Veterinary Medical Association (SAVMA), SAVES also aims to educate the public about responsible pet ownership and provide assistance to low-income families through the Good Samaritan Program. Under the Good Samaritan Program, participating veterinarians, all of who are members of SAVMA, donate their time, supplies, and rgical facilities—at the rate of $20 per sterilization--for that segment of the public that would not ordinarily be able to afford this service. In the last ten years, Good Samaritan Program participants have performed 2634 pet sterilization’s valued at $273,032.14.
Southern Arizona Veterinary Medical Association
The Southern Arizona Veterinary Medical Association (SAVMA) is a non-profit professionals association seeking to promote the interests of veterinary medicine, including furthering the health and welfare of animals in Arizona; to advance the cause of public health and the welfare of veterinary science and to foster, develop, and promote educational programs for veterinarians and their employees. SAVMA’s 160 member veterinarians participate in monthly continuing education programs, support the efforts of their Foundation and its spay/neuter program, and are active in local and state regulatory bodies that impact their profession.
Vinegar Institute
The Vinegar Institute (VI) is an international trade association of manufacturers of retail and foodservice vinegar and the companies that supply these manufacturers. It has 39 member companies and is focused on regulatory and legislative matters. VI also has an active scientific program. VI holds one convention each year in a resort location focusing on hot topics for the industry in the areas of marketing, sales and general business. Founded in 1999, this association consists of nearly 60 companies involved in some phase of weather-based derivative contracts as the membership WRMA continues to increase.
