VALERIE B. COOPER, CAE
Vice President
Valerie Cooper, a Vice President of The Kellen Company, has more than 16 years experience in association management. Valerie’s strengths are consensus building, leadership development, financial management, membership services and motivation of volunteers.
Valerie directs the activities of various clients, including the management of an international group with international regulatory issues and meetings. She also is responsible for Kellen Company clients in the consumer goods sector and works closely with the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Valerie previously was Vice President of Resources for Group Management, a Washington, D.C.-based association management firm. She also has worked for a wide variety of associations including the American Coal Ash Association, Polyisocyanurate Insulation Manufacturers Association and the Outdoor Power Equipment Association.
Valerie holds the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from the American Society of Association Executives, an indication of demonstrated skill in leadership, activity in community affairs, and expertise in association management.
She holds a B.A. in International Relations from Ohio Wesleyan University and has studied in France and Kenya. She is an active member of the Council of Manufacturing Associations.
