KEITH C. KEENEY
Vice President, Communications
Keith C. Keeney is Vice President, Communications, for the Kellen Company. He is responsible for managing Atlanta-based public relations/communications activities on behalf of Kellen clients, as well as our divisions devoted to graphic design and cyberservices -- Kellen Creative and Kellen Interactive.
Since joining the company in 1981, Keith has created and directed communications programs for many Kellen Company client associations, coordinating press relations, strategic and creative planning, web development and marketing, generic product promotion and materials development. He has extensive experience in crisis management, formulating strategy and utilizing government, media and health professional contacts for industry comment on critical issues. He often acts as an industry spokesman, appearing in local and national print and electronic media. His representation on issues such as Alar, aspartame, saccharin, infant formula, trans fats, food sensitivity and general food safety have been instrumental in successfully achieving the goals of clients’ issues management programs.
Keith also is experienced in market research, responsible for the development of national consumer and industry surveys and focus groups. This research has been instrumental in developing non-branded product promotion campaigns.
His ongoing relationships with the media, government and health/medical groups have established the Kellen Company's client associations as reliable sources of information for their industries and have generated extensive favorable, national publicity.
Keith holds a B.A. degree from Emory University. He has nearly 25 years of experience in association management and public relations.
