Business globalization and continuous developments in the EU have meant a constantly-evolving working environment for association executives and staff.Executive Coaching Programmes
Kellen Europe has established a series of “Executive Coaching Programs” to help association executives and staff adapt to this new environment.
These four Executive Coaching Programs are:
1. How Brussels Works
This is a master class on European affairs with practical tips on advocacy, lobbying and how to approach the different players in the Brussels arena. The program provides an overview of how Brussels works, identifies the main EU institutions and how they interact and offers insight on structuring an effective advocacy or lobbying campaign as well as a detailed political analysis of recent EU-level developments.
The program is designed for executives who deal with the European Union and would like an expert view on how to be effective in this arena.
2. Competition Law for Trade Associations
Trade associations are unique forums, as competitors from the same industry or sector meet to discuss issues of common interest and to find common solutions.
Due to anti-competitive behaviour, trade association members must know what can and cannot be discussed during meetings and conference calls, as well as what association management practices should be implemented to ensure their compliance with competition law. Trade associations can now be held accountable should they create a forum where anti-competitive behaviour takes place.
This program provides an overview of the main aspects of competition law applicable to trade associations, as well as analysis of any possible anti-competitive activities undertaken by the trade association. Trade association officers enrolled in this program receive guidelines and tips to ensure compliance, as well as an assessment of the global remit of competition law.
This program benefits trade association executives and staff who attend association meetings and/or are in charge of governance.
3. Media Training
This program helps prepare individuals to represent their association and communicate externally in a representative manner. It also enhances the participant’s understanding of how the media works, offering tips and tools for efficiently dealing with reporters. Finally, it features information on how to manage a communication crisis. After participating in this program, individuals learn how to anticipate issues or events that can impact the association’s image; translate the information necessary to best profile any given issue; develop the organization’s position on an issue and prepare a persuasive and appropriate response.
The program is designed for corporate or association executives that deal regularly with the media and would like to learn how to best communicate their message in interviews.
4. Coalition Building
The program analyzes the benefits of building coalitions with other peer organizations, in addition to defining what steps should be followed to establish and manage these coalitions. Such partnerships can enhance an organization’s visibility through broadened representation and ensure a wider commitment to achieve and implement the actions behind a particular message.
This program caters to corporate leaders and association executives or staff willing to explore coalition potential by finding common ground between associations and their activities.
